PROGRESS PRE-BLOG

Ok so this is my first post on this blog and I wanted to update everybody on some of the things that have been going in this project prior to me starting this development blog. I came across a little while ago a wonderful source of 3D models from a place called SolCommand which was the username which a guy released some 3D models under that were intended for use in a complete overhaul of Freelancer but were never used. He released them to the public and as I'd also been playing around with Unity, I figured it would be a good project to actually focus my messing on rather than just making all sorts of stuff that wasn't really going anywhere. So I began the project. I started by beginning to create the New York system in Unity using some wonderful assets available, some of them free, some of them not. These include Asteroid Pack by Pixel Make, Procedural Nebula by Xefier and Star Nest Skybox by Ninjapretzel. All of these have contributed to the results of the New York System as it is so far. I've accompanied a few screenshots here to show some of the objects already in the game as of present.
